Context

Seoul Innovation Park is a space where various innovators gather to realize ideas for positive world change. Among them, 'makers' are people who create value through their fingertips, not abstract concepts, presenting new manufacturing paradigms. Seoul Innovation Center wanted to widely publicize these makers' activities and inspire prospective makers to encourage greater participation.

Challenge

We needed to connect makers from different fields and philosophies - Seoul Innovation FabLab, Appropriate Technology Workshop, InAllGreen - with one consistent message. There was the challenge of storytelling various creative methods from Fab-based digital production to sustainable production through appropriate technology and eco-friendly products using soil in a way viewers could easily understand. Additionally, we had to clearly highlight each maker's unique abilities and values while maintaining overall unity.

Solution

Through preliminary interviews, we deeply understood each maker's unique abilities and philosophies, then vividly captured their creative processes. Going beyond simple interviews, we followed actual production processes to capture moments of innovation born from their fingertips. Under the common theme of 'creating a new world by hand,' we composed stories that preserved each maker's individuality while providing concrete inspiration and participation motivation for prospective makers.
