Context
Since 2015, GBC (Global Bio Conference) has established itself as Asia's premier international biopharmaceutical conference held annually in Korea. The 2023 event, themed "Bio Future: Innovation & Collaboration," took place from August 30 to September 1 at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas. This global platform brought together over 5,000 biopharmaceutical experts from 21 countries, featuring 85 speakers across 18 programs and 89 lectures covering everything from vaccines to cell and gene therapy products.
Challenge
The primary challenge was efficiently documenting 18 simultaneous programs and 89 lectures over three days with limited crew resources. Given the conference's nature, timeliness was crucial—requiring rapid editing alongside filming to maintain relevance. We needed to capture the authoritative, professional atmosphere of this global event while preserving the dynamic energy of live interactions. Tracking multiple sessions across various rooms and networking spaces without missing critical moments required strategic precision.
Solution
Through close pre-event coordination with organizers, we prioritized key sessions and strategically deployed production teams across venues. We established mobile editing capabilities on-site, enabling immediate highlight clip creation following each shoot. Our approach balanced comprehensive coverage of international attendees, diverse interviews, and panel discussions, ultimately delivering both a comprehensive highlight reel and individual session videos that showcased the conference's professional caliber and international stature.
