Expert Interview Filming, Safety Education Visualization, In-flight Content Development

Context

With incidents such as emergency exit openings caused by in-flight anxiety disorders on the rise, Korean Air launched a preventive initiative to produce educational content for passengers. This project went beyond simple guidance, serving as part of the airline’s broader social responsibility to ensure both the physical safety and psychological well-being of its passengers. The series was designed to offer practical, immediately applicable information—including breathing techniques, aircraft safety facts, and panic attack management—to travelers who may experience anxiety or fear during flight. The completed videos were planned to be integrated into the in-flight entertainment system, enabling passengers to access them whenever needed during their journey.

Challenge

The core challenge was creating trustworthy content that provides practical help to passengers while handling the sensitive topic of anxiety disorders. We needed to maintain consistent quality and tone and manner while producing three videos with different concepts: breathing therapy and relaxation techniques, aircraft safety, and in-flight panic attack management. Particularly important was developing differentiated approaches suited to each video's nature while harmonizing with Korean Air's sophisticated and trustworthy brand image. Technical optimization considering the limited in-flight screening environment and content design considering diverse passenger demographics were also important challenges.

Solution

We developed differentiated tones and manners suited to three different concepts, producing videos optimized for each purpose. The breathing therapy video was formatted as a practical, easy-to-follow guide, the aircraft safety video centered on professional explanations from Korean Air pilots, and the panic attack management video contained trustworthy advice from medical staff. We consistently applied Korean Air's calm yet sophisticated brand tone across all videos to create an atmosphere where passengers could watch with peace of mind. From filming to editing, we secured overall series unity while highlighting each concept's characteristics.

From the Team

"Fly with ease project was meaningful work implementing an airline's social responsibility through video. Our goal was creating practical content that helps passengers' actual safety and psychological stability. In the process of unifying three different videos with Korean Air's characteristically calm and sophisticated tone, we were able to capture the brand's authenticity. This project holds special meaning as these videos are actually helping those in need aboard aircraft."
