What We Did

Context
M.O.P is an advanced ceramic materials company established in 2017, inspired by the structure of mother-of-pearl to develop next-generation ceramic material technologies. Ceramic materials are gaining attention as core materials for advanced industries such as semiconductors, secondary batteries, and medical implants. Particularly, M.O.P's proprietary 3D printing technology has made it possible to create complex ceramic structures that were previously impossible.
Challenge
There was a challenge to visually implement nano-level material properties and microscopic processes that are not visible to the naked eye. Additionally, we needed to naturally incorporate the unique characteristics of ceramic materials—hygiene, precision, and future orientation—into the look and feel of the video while explaining the complex 3D printing process in an easy-to-understand way.
Solution
We used Cinema 4D and Redshift to precisely reproduce the unique texture and optical properties of ceramic materials. Particular focus was placed on material work to express the smooth, uniform surface and light reflection characteristics of ceramics. For the 3D printing process, we visualized the layer-by-layer stacking process step by step and expressed the microscopic material bonding process using particle systems.
